How I’ll Lead
Your Family. Your Voice. Your Burlington.
A commitment to thoughtful leadership, responsible decisions, and a stronger Burlington.
Every decision made at City Hall should improve the everyday lives of the people who call Burlington home.
As your Ward 4 and Regional Councillor, I will bring nearly two decades of strategic leadership experience, a Master of Public Policy, and years of community leadership to ensure decisions are thoughtful, transparent, financially responsible, and always centred on residents.
I believe good government starts with listening, asks the right questions, and earns trust through action.
Explore each priority below to learn more.
-
Reliable services. Safe neighbourhoods. Responsible spending.
Families deserve confidence that their tax dollars are being spent wisely and that the services they rely on every day are delivered effectively.
I will work to:
Deliver responsible, predictable budgeting that respects taxpayers.
Prioritize core infrastructure like roads, sidewalks, stormwater systems, parks, and public facilities.
Support safe neighbourhoods, clean public spaces, and responsive municipal services.
Improve accountability for service delivery so residents know what to expect.
Ensure every major investment is evaluated for long-term value and financial sustainability.
Every dollar spent should deliver value to the residents who pay for it.
-
Listening first. Communicating openly. Representing every resident.
Good representation means more than voting at Council.
It means being present in the community, listening before making decisions, and keeping residents informed throughout the process.
My commitment is to:
Be accessible and responsive.
Hold regular opportunities to meet with residents across Ward 4.
Communicate openly about Council decisions.
Consider every issue on its own merits through evidence-based decision making.
Advocate for practical solutions that reflect community priorities.
Residents deserve to know not only what decisions are made—but why they're made.
-
Thoughtful growth. Strong communities. A city prepared for the future.
Growth is continuing.
Our responsibility is making sure housing, transportation, infrastructure, parks, emergency services, and community amenities grow together.
I support growth that:
Respects existing neighbourhoods.
Is supported by the infrastructure and services residents need.
Protects Burlington's quality of life.
Encourages housing options while ensuring long-term affordability.
Creates complete, connected communities for future generations.
Growth should strengthen Burlington—not outpace the infrastructure and services that support it.
-
One of Council's most important responsibilities is managing public money wisely.
Before asking residents to pay more, Council should always ask:
Is this necessary?
Is it the right priority?
Is there a better way?
Does it provide good value?
I will support budgets that are responsible, transparent, and sustainable, recognizing that affordability must be considered in every financial decision.
-
Residents expect City Hall to do the everyday things well.
That means paying attention to the issues that affect daily life:
Roads and sidewalks
Traffic and transportation
Snow removal
Parks and public spaces
Bylaw enforcement
Infrastructure maintenance
Permit and development processes
Responsive municipal service residents can count on
Small issues aren't small when they're part of someone's everyday life.
-
Trust is earned.
I'll work to strengthen confidence in local government by:
Communicating decisions clearly.
Explaining the rationale behind major decisions.
Encouraging meaningful public engagement.
Making decisions based on evidence rather than assumptions.
Being accountable to residents throughout my term.
-
A thriving Burlington depends on local businesses, entrepreneurs, and employers.
I will support efforts to:
Improve municipal customer service.
Reduce unnecessary barriers and delays.
Create more predictable approval processes.
Encourage investment that benefits residents while respecting our community.
When businesses succeed, Burlington succeeds.
-
Burlington's greatest strength has always been its people.
From volunteers and local organizations to neighbourhood associations, small businesses, and residents who care deeply about their community, our future depends on working together.
I believe the best decisions happen when people are heard, diverse perspectives are welcomed, and Council works collaboratively to find practical solutions.
-
I can't promise that every issue will have the answer residents are hoping for.
What I can promise is this:
I will listen.
I will ask thoughtful questions.
I will review the evidence.
I will communicate openly.
I will respect your tax dollars.
I will make decisions based on what is in Burlington's long-term best interests.
Because representing Ward 4 isn't about politics.
It's about people.
Your Family. Your Voice. Your Burlington.
“Representing Ward 4 isn’t about politics.
It’s about people.”
